Leonard Norman Cohen ( born on September, 21st, 1934 in Montreal, Canada) - the Canadian poet, the writer, the singer and the author of songs. The first poetic collection is published in 1956, the first novel - in 1963.
In early years of a song of Cohen were based on folk music, in 1970 gravitated to pop music and cabaret. Since 1980th years Cohen sings a deep voice under support of music with synthesizers and female background vocals. Its songs often emotionally heavy and with difficult texts. Among themes about which Cohen sings: religion, loneliness, sexuality, difficult relations between people.
