The leading singer, the rhythm guitarist, the keyboard player and the author of songs of alternative fate in Great Britain, the leader of rock group Radiohead. As the singer, York is recognized thanks to the characteristic tenor, a vibrato, to frequent application of a falsetto, ability to reach and extend other-wordly notes. Basically he plays a guitar and a piano, but also can use percussion instruments and a bass guitar (as it was at record of albums «Kid A» and «Amnesiac»). Now lives in Oxford with the companion of life Rachel Owen and two children, Noa (2001) and Agnes (2004).

The volume York was born in Wellington, England. It had a congenital defect of an eyeball - till six years the left eye has been paralysed. Still the child it has transferred five surgical operations, and last has appeared so unsuccessful that the left eye almost has completely gone blind, and the eyelid only slightly rose.
